Process for preparing quick-dissolving paste on the basis of cellulose ethers and use thereof as wallpaper paste

Quickly dissolving pastes are obtained from pulverulent, optionally partially crosslinked cellulose ethers having a particle size distribution from 90% < 200 mu , preferably at least 90% < 100 mu , by converting them in a granulator in the presence of water into granules having particle sizes from 100 to 600 mu . Preference is given to the particle size range from 200 to 400 mu . The preferred use is for preparing aqueous wallpaper pastes.
