Continuously functioning aerosol separating device for measuring radioactive aerosol concentrations

The continuously functioning aerosol separation device measures on-line radioactive aerosol concentrations with which a continuously moving filter belt (4) is dusted. Before it is moved past a detector (3), the filter belt is moved past a gas outlet (7, 13a) which removes the aerosol carrier gas. The flow resistance of those regions of the gas outlet (7, 13a) which rest against the filter belt (4) is greater in infinitesimal terms than the flow resistance of the adjacent filter belt region. When the filter belt (4) is lifted, the effect of the leakages produced by lifting it remains negligible. Flow resistance measured in the above manner can be achieved by a multiplicity of capillary openings (7) distributed over the width of the filter belt (4). <IMAGE>
