The invention relates to a method for producing a populating location display under a carrier board which is to be populated with components, by imaging light symbols corresponding to the outlines and attachment points of the parts to be fitted, directly underneath this carrier board. A display is used in this case which has a relatively high resolution and is equally well suited for reproducing images and any desired geometrical figures as well as text (flat screen). The fitting location can easily be identified by the holes of the components since the light image is visible through all the attachment points which are required for the component. In difficult cases, pulsating light aids the identification capability. |
