PURPOSE:To acquire a multiple optical transmission network of less optical loss, by constituting a light emitter of two element chips different in emitting wavelength according to different input signals, and a light receiver of two chips different in receiving wavelength, and by connecting with a single optical fiber between these two. CONSTITUTION:Input signals are applied from drivers 1, 1' different in input signal each other to light-emitting element chips 9, 10 different in receiving wavelength provided in a light emitter 15. Outputs of it are transmitted to a light receiver 16 through a single optical fiber 7. Light-receiving element chips 12, 13 different in receiving wavelength each other and operative with the same wavelengths as the chips 9, 10 are provided also in the light receiver 16. Each of outputs is sent to amplifiers 6, 6'. This omits an optical coupler, an optical divider, and the like. The number of optical coupling is reduced and the transission efficiency is improved. |
