<p>PURPOSE:To give a direct sound from a speaker flat characteristics even if a listener changes in position, by varying directional characteristics of a crossover frequency by varying the characteristics of a dividing network. CONSTITUTION:In a speaker system, a dividing network whose frequency characteristics are flattened at a point (a) or (b) is assumed to have specification A or B. Then, total transfer functions of characteristics that the dividing network of specification A or B has at the point (a) is denoted as Aa or Ba, and that at the point (b) is denoted as Bb or Ab. For this purpose, the transfer function of a filter is determined so that the functions Aa and Bb have flat characteristics respectively. Thus, the dividing networks differing specification are provided and then switched through a switch, so that a reproduced sound with flat characteristics is obtained even if a listener changesin position.</p> |
