PURPOSE:To make it possible to grind automatically even a work that possesses a concave curved face or cncave stepped section by providing a grinding stone freely movable three-dimensionally and also making it free to swivel or rock. CONSTITUTION:When the face to be ground of a work 21 is concave, eve with forward advancing of front and rear sliding bodies 4, the external surface of the work is away from the grinding stone 11 as shown by a broken line in the internal bottom portion of the concave face. When an inner frame 7 is rotated and an outer frame body 6 is also rotated as needed, any one of side rim sections of the grinding stone 11 contacts the internal bottom part, making it possible to grind the whole internal face of the concave section. Furthermore, for a face to be ground that is stepped also, the inner frame body 7 is rotated by 90 deg., and the outer frame body is rotated as needed, which brings the front end rim of the grinding stone 11 to abut the inner recess of the concave stepped section, and the whole face of the concave section can be ground. |
