In a draw-over shoe heel having a heel shell (12) which, at the end facing away from the shoe, possesses an orifice adjacent to a cavity (16) containing at least one supporting pin (18) projecting with its free end towards the orifice, and having a heel patch (14) which can be fastened to the open end of the heel shell and closes the latter and forms a tread (20) and which has, on its side facing away from the latter, a projecting reinforcing island (24) or thickening, the outer edge of which has essentially the form of the orifice of the heel shell, the said heel patch (14) having a part (22) which forms a recess receiving the end of the supporting pin (18), the outer edge of the reinforcing island is at least approximately 4 mm high and is provided with a bevel (26) descending outwards, in order to make it easier to insert the heel patch into the heel shell with the correct orientation and to prevent damage to the heel in the attempt to press a heel patch, applied somewhat twisted, into the orifice of the heel shell. The drawn-up outer edge can be formed by a strip-like elevation (28) which surrounds at a distance the part (22) forming the recess for receiving the supporting pin (18). <IMAGE>
