A gully grating for roads has a plurality of openings (10, 17) which are separated by webs (19, 22); the webs extend between the openings on a plurality of winding paths from one lateral edge (20) of the gully grating to the opposite lateral edge (21). Each path formed by the webs contains at least one section (22) which is directed back towards the first-mentioned lateral edge (20), so that water, flowing from the first-mentioned lateral edge over the gully grating to the opposite lateral edge (21), cannot follow any of these paths over their entire length and thus has to flow through one of the openings in the gully grating. <IMAGE> |
