<p>An improved bale collating apparatus comprising a bale accumulator adapted to accumulate bales of hay or stray in an array, the bale accumulator being adapted to be connected behind a baling machine and having entry means (16) for receiving bales from a baling machine and collating means (17, 18, 19) adapted to form an array of eight bales, the configuration of the array comprising four bales juxtaposed in side by side relationship, the ends of said four bales defining two substantially parallel edges along each of which a pair of further bales are arranged, the bales of each pair being arranged in mutual end to end relationship. The configuration of the array allows a stable stack of bales to be built, the stack being built from stacking the arrays on top of each other, each array being rotated through 90 DEG relative to the array on which it is to be placed.</p> |
