<p>Streptococcus santuis, Streptococcus uberis or Actinomyces bovis are useful for the treatment of diseases of the oral cavity, particular periodontal diseases such as periodontosis and periodontitis. These microorganisms inhibit the growth of Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans which causes such diseases. The microorganisms can be used in the form of a pharmaceutical composition, such as a mouthwash also incorporating suitable carriers or diluents.</p> |
