PURPOSE:To contrive to eliminate unstable and unpleasant feelings by a method wherein a relief valve is provided for a valve mechanism, a necessary damping force is generated in a low sliding speed range of an inner tube, and an excessive damping force is moderated in high sliding speed ranges. CONSTITUTION:The valve mechanism 20 fitted to an inside end of the inner tube 12 is composed of a valve body 21 for a check valve, the first supporting body 23 which removably supports the valve body 21 through a return spring 22, a valve plate 24 for a relief valve, the second supporting body 26 which removably supports the valve plate 24 through a valve spring 25, and a valve seat 27. At the time of a stretching stroke of a front fork, a damping force determined only by the first orifice 13b of a hollow rod 13 in the low sliding speed range of the inner tube 12. On the other hand, in the high sliding speed range, the excessive damping force determined only by the first orifice 13b is moderated by the function of an orifice 27b of the valve sheet 27. |
