<p>PURPOSE:To recover an Na compound efficiently and economically by pouring molten refining slag into water or an aqueous soln. and filtering the resulting Na2O extracted slurry after crystallization. CONSTITUTION:Molten slag 3 on molten iron 2 in a refining pan 1 is quantitatively fed to an extracting vessel 12 through a slag feeding furnace 4, a molten slag bed 8, a molten slag feeding bed 9 and a constant feeder 10. In the vessel 12 the slag 3 is reacted with an impurity remover 11 to make P, S and Si as soluble impurities slightly soluble, and the resulting Na2O extracted slurry 15 is fed to a filter 16 to discharge residue 18 on extraction from the system. Part of the filtrate 19 is fed to the vessel 12 as a refluxing soln. 20, and the remainder is fed to a crystallizing vessel 22 through a cooler 21. In the vessel 22 gaseous CO2 13 is blown from the bottom to adjust the pH, and Na2O is crystallized. The crystallizing Na2O 26 recovered with a filter 25, and the filtrate is returned to the vessel 12 as a circulating soln. 27.</p> |
