Abstract of the Disclosure Antiinflammatory 4,5-diaryl- alpha -(polyhaloalkyl)- 1H-imidazole-methanols, such as 4,5-bis (4-fluorophenyl)- alpha , alpha -di (trifluoromethyl)- 1H-imidazole-methanol are useful in treatment of arthritis.
