A signpost comprises vertically and horizontally extending frame elements 3,2 which are mutually connected in order to form one or more compartments for accommodating signboards, each of the horizontal frame elements, at the ends thereof, being provided with securing means 10 comprising recesses 15 extending crosswise with respect to the longitudinal direction of the horizontal frame elements, and each vertical frame element having a hollow profile and in a side wall being provided with openings 17 for accommodating the securing means of the horizontal frame elements in such a way that the recesses of the securing means are arranged inside the vertical frame element or elements. A locking rail 18 is provided for each vertical frame element, the locking rails being provided with openings 21 of much a form that they allow accommodation of the securing means accommodated in the openings of the corresponding vertical element, movement of the locking rail with respect to the securing means allowing wedge means 23 of the locking rail to wedge into the recesses of the securing means. <IMAGE> |
