<p>PURPOSE:To discriminate a zip code, by recognizing a key word contained in an address information by use of word recognition, and decreasing the number of read object lines. CONSTITUTION:A character string corresponding to an address is inputted to a work extracting part 2 from a character recognizing part 1. In the word extracting part 2, a word is extracted by a word punctuating information from the input character string, and a word except a code is stored by attaching a serial number showing its order. Subsequently, the extracted word train is inputted to an input word selecting part 3, combination of input words is decided, and is inputted to a maximum coincidence detecting part 4. The selecting part 3 gives information for indexing a dictionary for collation, to a key word dictionary storage part 5. A collating dictionary selected from the storage part 5 is given to a collating dictionary storage part 6, is inputted to the maximum coincidence detecting part 4, is collated with the input word train, and is outputted to a key word deciding part 7. A proposed word of the highest degree of coincidence is selected, and that which satisfies a fixed threshold level is outputted as a key word to a line attribute deciding part 8.</p> |
