<p>PURPOSE:To strongly bond a rubber with a fibrous material without damaging the softness and stretchability of the fibrous material, by a method in which a fibrous material is treated with a resin liquid, treated with a rubber composition, and then vulcanized for bonding. CONSTITUTION:A fibrous material is dipped in an alkaline resin liquid (pH8.5- 11.0) composed of a 3/7-7/3 (by weight) mixture of a resol type resorcinol- formaldehyde resin and a Novolak type resorcinol-formaldehyde resin in such a way that 0.2-5wt% resin adheres to the fibrous material. Then, the fibrous material so treated is coated with a rubber composition consisting of 100pts.wt. rubber, 1-5pts.wt. methylene acceptor (e.g., resorcinol), and 1-10pts.wt. methylene donor (e.g., hexamethylenetetramine) so that 5-100wt% rubber composition adheres to the fibrous material and then vulcanized for bonding.</p> |
