摘要 PURPOSE:To omit welding or bonding process by inserting an annular flange to outer periphery of a corrugated metallic mesh cylinder and compressing the mesh cylinder and thereby fixing the flange to the outer periphery of the mesh cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A flange 1 made by thinning 1a the inner periphery of an annular plate is held by outer molds 2a, 2b. Next, a thin metallic wire is stockinetted and a corrugated mesh cylinder 3 is fitted to the outer periphery of a core bar 4, and the core bar 4 is inserted into the outer molds 2a, 2b. Then, the thin part 1a of the flange 1 projected from inner periphery of the outer mold is made to cut into the corrugated mesh cylinder 3. Stamping dies 5a, 5b are fitted to the annular part between outer molds 2a, 2b and the core bar 4 from above and below to compress the mesh cylinder 3. Thus, a formed product 6 that has a flange outside of the middle of the mesh body 3' or a formed product 7 that has a flange outside of an end of the mesh body 3' is obtained.
