PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus to manufacture clear-out embossed sheets stably by a rough roll pressure control by providing an unevenly patterned porous metal layer on the periphery of a drum-like rigid base whose surface is provided with large numbers of small holes and also providing an air suction dust at the center of drum-like rigid base. CONSTITUTION:On the periphery of a drum-like or cylindrical rigid base 41 having large numbers of pierced small holes 42 on its all surface, a fine and continu ous cellular metal layer 43 with a desired uneven pattern 44 on its surface is integrally provided, and also in the hollow of the rigid base 41, an air suction duct 45 through which the inside region of the rigid base on the facing side of a pressing roll 5 is evacuated to negative pressure and the facial region 1 of the uneven pattern layer 44 in the region is further evacuated to vacuum through the porous layer of the uneven pattern layer 44 and the small holes 42 of the rigid base 41 is built up immovably to the rotation of the base 1. |
