PURPOSE:To realize the automatic resetting of a microcomputer through the execution of a restart routine, by giving a jump to a specific address in case a blank memory area is fetched by the runaway of a CPU. CONSTITUTION:A CPU has a runaway and an address other than those of the 1st memories M1-M4 storing the main program is selected. In such case, a signal of H level is delivered from an OR gate 4. Thus a memory 3 is chip- selected, and a memory cell 5 is first fetched. Then a jump is given to an initial restart routine to clear a register, etc. the CPU1 possesses. As a result, the automatic resetting is possible when the CPU has a malfunction. |
