PURPOSE:To improve the utilization of the active substance and the initial performance, by passing a plate filled with the lead battery paste between a pair of rolls planted with many fibers thereby providing the porous performance on both faces of the plate. CONSTITUTION:A plate 3 filled with the paste provided from a paste hopper 1 is carried then passed through a pair of rolls 4 planted with 50 synthetic resin fibers of 0.2mm. diameter per 1cm<2> thereafter passed between rollrs 6 coated with a resilient member. Many micro-recess are formed on the surface of the plate 3 after treated by a roll 4 then the surface condition is pressed lightly by a roll 6 to produce a plate. When providing the porous performance on both faces of the plate, the utilization of the active substance can be improved while an excellent initial performance can be provided. |
