PURPOSE:To improve the storage performance by employing a three-layer clad material composed of a zinc-copper alloy, copper and stainless steel for the cathode container while arranging the zinc-copper alloy at the side contacting with the cathode agent. CONSTITUTION:An anode agent 2 is filled in an anode terminal/container 1 then a zinc cathode 7 filled in a cathode container 6 is laminated through a separator 3, non-woven fabric 4 thereafter the open end of the container 1 is bent through a gasket 5 to form a cell. Here a three-layer clad member composed of zinc-copper alloy 61 which contains less than 0.04% of oxygen and less than 30wt% of zinc, copper 62 and stainless steel 63 is employed for the cathode container 6, while a zinc-copper alloy 61 is arranged at the side contacting with the cathode 7 and pressed. Consequently the workability is improved and the crack is prevented thereby the defect caused by the direct contact of the electrolyte with the stainless steel can be eliminated completely. |
