PURPOSE:To improve the maintenance characteristic and the leak-proof performance of a silver oxide (II) cell, by employing a positive polarity agent made of a silver oxide (II) containing Cd, Te or specific metal and highly stabilized and an organic adhesives. CONSTITUTION:The silver oxide (II) containing Cd and Te or Cd and Te and more than one components of Pb, Hg, Tl, Ge, Y, Sn, W, La, rare erth elements, Zn, Se, Al is quite stable in the alkaly electrolyte. A silver oxide cell (II) assembled while employing a positive polarity agent composed of said highly stable silver oxide(II) and an organic binder has the quite excellent maintenance characteristic and the leak-proof performance. Here a synthetic resin such as poly-4-fluoride-ethylene, poly-ethylene, etc. a water-soluble high molecular compound such as carboxy-methyl-cellulose, poly-vinyl-alcohol, etc. is employed as the organic binder. |
