<p>PURPOSE:To increase the lifetime of a battery, by executing a test program of an input/output device with application of a battery power supply and releasing the connection of the power supply of the input/output device which is not necessary for the time being after the execution of the test program is over. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply switch 18 is applied, an initializing voltage detecting/charging circuit 17 supplies the electric power of a power supply battery 1 to a semiconductor switch 15 and each block enclosed by a chain line to produce an initializing signal 19. A CPU3 confirms whether the voltage of the battery 1 drops or not by means of the firmware of an ROM4, and gives an alarm in the case of a drop of the voltage to stop the operation. When the battery voltage is normal, a memory test is carried out. Then an instruction is sent to a semiconductor switch control part 16, and the battery 1 is connected to each input device via the switch 15. After this, the test program is executed, and an error if occurs is displayed at an LCD5. When the test program is over, the connection of power supply is released for the input/output device which is not necessary for the time being. Thus the lifetime of a battery is increased for a portable terminal device.</p> |
