PURPOSE:To prevent a time from stopping, a memory from disappearing, and other inconviniences from occurring while a cell is replaced, by a method wherein a main cell and an auxiliary cell are mounted to a power source, the main cell is normally used, and the auxiliary cell is used at a time when the cell is exchanged. CONSTITUTION:If a voltage of an auxiliary cell 6 is set to a proper value being below a cell voltage fall detecting voltage and exceeding a voltage at which a watch suspends operating, even in case a current voltage decreases and a cell voltage fall detecting circuit 5 actuates, a voltage of a main cell 4 is applied to the auxiliary voltage 6 to secure about 100% residual capacity. This permits the auxiliary cell 6 to act as a power source of a watch to supply an enough power during a few minutes for which the main cell 4 is pulled out for the exchange of the cell. When a new cell is connected again, the auxiliary cell 6 is charged to restore to 100% capacity again. Then, said circuit 5 detects the voltage fall of the main cell 4 to display the exchange of the cell in a display means 3 by means of some system, and this permits the cell to be replaced without stopping of the watch function and disappearing of a memory in an electronic circuit 2. |
