PURPOSE:To maintain the internal of a display tube high vacuum continuously by providing an absorption layer consisting of the main component of carbon or graphite on a part excepting covered with a fluorescent layer on the inside of an outer container in order to increase the getter effect. CONSTITUTION:A wiring conductor 2 is provided on one surface of a substrate 1 comprising glass of a front luminous type fluorescent display tube A, an insulating layer 3 on which a conductive layer 5 is coated excepting on segmented anode conductors 2a is provided, and fluorescent layers 4 are provided on the anode conductos 2a. It is contained with a controlling electrode 6 and cathodes 7 together in the internal of the outer container 8 on the inside surface of the back container 8a of which an absorption layer 10 consisting of the main component of graphite or carbon fine particles is formed. Thus the residual gas in the tube is absorbed on the absorption layer 10 when the temperature is lowered to the room temperature from the high temperature of 350 to 400 deg.C during the exhausting process of the display tube A, and the internal of the tube is maintained high vacuum and the luminance and life can be improved. |
