PURPOSE:To make the width of read coincident with intermittent feed width of an original, even if the internal between the original and the read-in head changes, by moving the scanning direction toward the main scanning direction, through an image forming lens constituting the read-in head constituted as a telecentric system. CONSTITUTION:A read-in head consists of an image forming lens 12, a diaphragm 13 provided at the focus position of the lens 12 and a solid-state image pickup element 14. This lens 12 is set as a telecentric system, and the main light from an original 11 is made incident with the optical axis of the lens 12 set in parallel and an image is formed on the element 14 via the diaphragm 13. Even if the original 11 deflects toward the optical axis to be an original 11', the main light is in parallel with the optical axis, the change in the read-in width is avoided and duplicated read-in can be prevented. |
