PURPOSE:To cool a granular mass uniformly by controlling the operation of a delivery valve and the falling velocity of the granular mass, in a method for controlling the delivery by cooling a granular mass in a dry-type cooling tower. CONSTITUTION:When non-uniform cooling of coke (granular mass) occurs in normal time, gas pressure differences DELTAP1 and the average DELTAP' thereof are calculated by a calculator 19 based on gas pressure signals fed from each of gas pressure sensors 15, 16, and coke delivery speeds at the delivery valves 8a, 8b provided at discharge ports 3a, 3b corresponding respectively to the sensors 15, 16 are calculated by a calculator 19 based on delivery time signals fed from delivery time sensors 13, 14. The inerval of delivery periods of each of the valves 8a, 8b is calculated from the values calculated above, and each of the valves 8a, 8b is operated with the interval thus calculated to control the delivery speed of coke and the falling velocity of coke, thereby making uniform the cooling of the coke. |
