A NaClO3-manufg. electrolyzer and a ClO2-manufg. reactor were installed near wastewater-treating tanks, and HCl was reacted with NaClO3 obtained from the NaClO3-manufg. electolyzer in the ClO2-manufg. tank to give ClO2 and Cl2, which were fed into the wastewater-treating tanks. The slurry containing NaCl from the ClO2-manufg. reactor was mixed with water, aerated, and recycled to the reactor.
