A device for the handling of material at another converting unit for example, chipping of raw forestry material to the connected material container. For this there is a handling unit (1) with an output opening connected to an external container (3) located at the input opening (13) in one of the container's underside, in its lengthwise leading canal (8, 4), in which a known feeder device functions in the form of a front and backward moving piston (9) in order to, in cooperation with the canal walls, press in the coming material from under in the container (1) from the converting unit (1), in addition to the part (4) of the canal located inside of the container (3) is upwardly open along the greater part of its length, while the container sides, especially without at least one side of the container through which the canal (4) stretches itself, sloping toward the given open part (4) of the canal, whereby on at least one of the container's lengthwise sides there is mounted a transport device that can be raised and lowered (24) for transportation of material when the container is emptied into a container and from the open canal part's (4) outgoing transport device (22).<IMAGE> |
