PURPOSE:To resolve the discontinuity of display in divisional parts and facilitate the orientation treatment, by sealing end faces of cells, which are adhered to each other, by cell substrates of each other when end faces of plural cells are adhered mutually to make one panel. CONSTITUTION:CellsIand II are adhered to each other through an adhesive 12 to form one liquid crystal display panel. The cellIhas apertures in the right side and the charging part, and the cell II has apertures in the left side and the charging part. Upper and lower substrates are different in thickness in cellsI and II, and the aperture part in the right side of the cell I is sealed by a lower substrate 82 of the cell II, and the aperture part in the left side of the cell II is sealed by an upper substrate 71 of the cellI. End faces of cells of a panel divided into three or more are sealed similarly. The discontinuity of display does not occur because divisional parts have no sealing layer; and even if the orientation treatment film is different in divisional parts, the work is facilitated because divisional parts are stuck on a plane after assembling them individually. |
