This patent relates to a separation unit containing hollow fibres used for fluid separation, hollow semi-permeable membrane fibre bundles and hollow fibre bundles. In a hollow semi-permeable fibre, the fibre has multiple crimps having wavewidth of less than 50 % compared with the diameter of a hollow fibre and crimp-frequency of less than 5 cm. The fibre also has enough tenacity to maintain multiple crimps for fluid separation, and the change by length of a hollow fibre caused by crimping is about 0.01 to 10 %.
