PURPOSE:To form a uniformly thick and placid phosphorescent film on the inside surface of a bent glass bulb. CONSTITUTION:A straight glass bulb 1 is bent into almost a saddle type by bending twice. Injection nozzles for phosphorescent solution are inserted into both end opening parts 4, 4 and the inside of the glass bulb 1 is filled with the phosphorescent solution by means of a push-up method or a push-in method. At this time, from both opening parts 4, 4 a gas, for instance, such as air is introduced into the glass bulb 1, and the introduced air is sucked from an exhaust pipe 7, and thereby excess phosphorescent solution which is apt to gather in the central bent part 3 is forced to be introduced into the exhaust pipe 7 together with the air, and then exhausted outside. The phosphorescent solution applied on the inside surface of the glass bulb 1 is dried and baked. Thus, phosphorescent film is formed on the inside surface of the glass bulb 1. |
