摘要 <p>The gas laser cavity is terminated by mirrors transverse to the axis (7) of a longitudinal channel (6) between two rectangular ferroceramic blocks (4,5) and steel plates (2,3) constituting parallel capacitors (C1,C2). The plates have each a convex projection (9) into the cavity and are connected to the sec. winding of a step-up transformer (13) whose prim. winding is excited by pulsed discharge of a fixed capacitor (15) through a thyristor (16), gated by a trigger circuit (20). The fixed capacitor (15) is charged to between 100 and 5O0 V from a DC source (17) via a switch (19). The laser gas breakdown voltage depends on the proportion of SF6 to N2 in the cavity. The appts. is applicable to dye laser pumping. A higher discharge frequency can be obtd. without frequent adjustment of the electrodes.</p>
