The mould is manufactured from aluminium or plastics. In place of the regular shaped cavities, a series of different shapes such as stars, animals, fishes, birds or miniature liqueur and spirit bottles can be used. The ice figures can also be produced with colour by using an acceptable colouring agent or fruit juice. The mould walls are flexible to aid release from the mould.
