PURPOSE:To inform which of a parent and a child pictures is in course of a recording, to an operator by providing a frame generating means and its control means to form a frame capable of being colored and being controlled, around the picture of a child signal to be synthesized to a parent signal. CONSTITUTION:A frame gate generation circuit 34 borders the child picture to be synthesized to the parent picture, and operates so as to color the frame responding to a control circuit 15. The control circuit 15 detects a connection position between a switch circuit 13 to switch plural video signals to be inputted as the parent and the child signals, and the switch circuits 12, 14 to switch plural video signals as recorded signals, and when the recorded signal coincides with the video signal selected as the child signal, the control circuit 15 acts on the frame generating means, and makes a chrominance signal generation circuit 38, which the frame generating means has, operate. Thus, it can be informated that the recording picture at the time when a magnetic recording and reproducing device (VTR) is in course of a recording, and besides, the picture, synthesized with the parent and the child is displayed on the cathode-ray tube of a television receiver set, whether it is the parent picture or the child picture is noticed. |
