<p>The valve push-rod for an IC engine comprises a metal tube to which end-pieces are fixed. A tubular metal component (3) is pressed onto or into the tube (1) and is shorter than the latter, so as to be clear of one or both of the end-pieces. Each of the end-pieces (2) can have hardened curved surfaces. The component (3) can be cylindrical or corrugated. The design gives increased strength and reduces the risk of vibration being transmitted to the valve.</p> |
