The seed sowing machine comprises a hopper (8) mounted on a wheeled chassis. The sower is coupled to a tractor or a soil working implement by upper (9) and lower (10) connections. The upper coupling is in the form of a double-acting piston and cylinder (14) which permits the sower to be tilted about an axis transverse to the direction of travel. A pair of stops (16) limit the vertical movement of the lower coupling. The coupling comprises a pair of curved arms (15) which pass over the top of a ground engaging roller (12) and are pivoted to the tractor and a wheel mounting of the sower.
