PURPOSE:To enable maintenance of the engine brake function by stopping the operation of the idle-up device upon fuel cutting in a vehicle provided with a fuel cutting device and an idle-up device upon the deceleration thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a case where the outputs of a throttle opening detection circuit 82 and an engine rotational number detection circuit 84, are both low or either of both is low, the output of an AND circuit 78 is low, and hence a fuel cutting device 80 does not operate. However, since the output of an inverter circuit 76 is high, if an air conditioned switch 72 is turned ON, an AND circuit 70 and a solenoid 54 are turned ON to actuate an idle-up actuator 46. Then, when the throttle opening is fully closed for retardation, the output of the AND circuit 78 becomes high, and the fuel cutting device 80 operates. Upon this occasion, since the output of the inverter circuit 76 is low, the idle-up does not operate until the rotational number becomes less than a predetermined value or the throttle assumes an open state, even if the switch 72 is ON, and hence the effect of the engine brake is not impaired. |
