PURPOSE:To avoid damage to a grid of a type case by smoothing the pushing of a type from the type case with a solenoid in a specified two-stage system. CONSTITUTION:A pushing solenoid (small solenoid) K adapted to be actuated for a fixed time with a switch operates a pushing bar I in the direction of the arrow to push a type F slightly from a type case H. At the same time, a signal from a photo sensor detecting it drives a striking solenoid (large solenoid) J and a type bar G moves in the direction of the arrow to effect a pringing on a platen M. In case of abnormality, namely, when the pushing bar I does not push the type correctly, the photosensor L fails to operate and the striking solenoid is kept from acting to protect a grid of the type case H from a forcible impact. |
