<p>The hollow roller shutter slat has curved surfaces, the radius of curvature of the inside surface being smaller than that of the outer surface. The slat has a hook on its top edge for assembly purposes and a cavity on its lower edge into which the hook of the slat below is inserted. This lower cavity is subdivided, by a reinforcing wall extending from a cross-piece to the lower edge, into a closed square section channel on the outside wall and a cavity opening downwards on the inside wall. Once assembled, there is a certain amount of play between the hook and the cavity to allow for movement of the shutter. The possibility of bulging due to the pressure of one slat on another is eliminated.</p> |
