An alarm clock is described which has a single alarm control button (4) which can be displaced laterally in order to permit the alarm to be set or to be switched off, and which, on the other hand, can be operated so that it executes an oscillating or pivoting movement in a different direction in order to permit a switching over to snooze. <IMAGE>
