The invention provides coloured wood preservatives which produce light- and weather-resistant colourings on wood, the preservatives being based on copper/chromium and optionally containing fluorine and/or boron and coloured with water-soluble acid organic dyes, characterised in that they have been obtained by dry admixture of the water-soluble acid organic dyes. The invention also provides for the use of these wood preservatives.
