Vehicle antitheft device - has barrel lock in gear lever knob which lifts lock rod from gear linkage

The antitheft device for vehicles has a cylinder lock (1) fitted in the gear leaver knob (2). The knob has an internal screw which corresponds with a thread on a lock rod (3). By rotating the lock, the lock rod is drawn up from the gear lever linkage, so that the gear lever moves about freely. A spring lifts the peg so that its point is freed from the change lock and it is pushed forward by its spring. The vehicle is then locked against any movement.
