PURPOSE:To maintain a heat exchanger at a constant temperature by providing a mixing valve for simultaneously controlling both the flow rate in a high temperature side pipe and that in a bypass passage. CONSTITUTION:Water is introduced from a feed water main pipe 1 into the mixing valve 2, a portion of the water flows into the heat exchanger through a high temperature side pipe passage 8 and the high temperature side pipe 3, and the remainder flows into a hot-water tapping pipe 5 through the bypass passage 7. Hot water from the high temperature side pipe 3 flows into the tapping pipe 5 through a high-temperature water passage 6. A thermally expandable body 11 pressed by a spring 10 is provided in the passage 6 and valve bodies 14, 15 are provided on a valve rod 12 supported by bearings 13, 13 so that the openings of a branching chamber 9 for branching from the feed water main pipe 1 into the bypass passage 7 and the high temperature side pipe passage 8, respectively, are opened and closed in a relatively opposite manner. |
