The invention can be used in air-cooled heat exchangers in chemical or power plants for condensation processes and cooling processes. The aim of the invention is an air-cooled heat exchanger having a frameless battery. The object of the invention consists in developing a frameless battery having a large fin, and the assignment thereof to the support structure, while maintaining the air gap from fin to fin. According to the invention, this is achieved when all the core tubes of the battery cross-section are accommodated over the entire heat exchanging surface by large fins, which have spacers for preserving the air gap in a known way and are equipped with recesses in which carrier supports engage. The novel finned-tube battery is intended for air-cooled heat exchangers in chemical plants or power plants. <IMAGE>
