PURPOSE:To prevent the lockup of rear wheels through a controller which shuts off liquid pressure when the deceleration under braking has reached a prescribed level, by providing a spring force adjuster with an orifice mechanism for limiting the velocity of liquid inflow into a shutoff liquid chamber. CONSTITUTION:A liquid perssure controller is provided with a proportioning-type liquid pressure control section having a control piston 12 which functions so that rear wheel braking liquid pressure supplied from the output ports 25, 26 of lines A, B undergoes break pressure-reduction control as to front wheel braking liquid pressure. The controller is also provided with an inertial valve section having a ball 38 for shutting off the braking liquid pressure when the deceleration has reached a prescribed level, and with a spring force adjuster including an adjusting piston 33 for adjusting the force of a control spring 29 in proportion to the level of the shut-off liquid pressure. A clearance (orifice) is defined between the inside surface of an adjusting liquid chamber C and the peripheral surface of the left-end large-diameter head of the piston 33 so that the piston can move in the axial direction. The purpose is thus attained. |
