PURPOSE:To suppress damage of a road surface to a low level through a tire and obtain its large brake effect, by providing protrusive units for spikes embedded to a tread part of the tire in a state of crossing with a diametric line of the tire further diagonally to the direction reverse to the direction of rotation of the tire. CONSTITUTION:Tail ends 4 of protrusive units (spike) (b) of plural hard bar- shaped objects, for instance, metallic bars or the like are embedded to the side of a carcass 3 in a rubber layer 2 of the tread part 1 of a tire (a). On the other hand, head ends 5 of the spike (b) are arranged in a disclosed or disclosable state to the surface periphery of the tread 1. At this time, each spike (b) is provided in sich a manner that it is aligned at an adequate space to the direction reverse to the direction B of rotation of the tire (a), radially sloped with almost spiral shape when viewed from the side and placed crossing at an equal angle of almost 45 deg. respectively with a diametric line C of the tire. In this way, the spike (b) tends to be retracted at the time of starting, and damage to a road surface or the like can be decreased while a large brake effect can be obtained. |
