PURPOSE:To enhance the safety of an electronic oven incorporating a microcomputer by a method wherein the period of time required for cooking the maximum volume of each menu is stored in a control part, and when the cooking is not completed in the period of time thus stored, the generation of heating energy is forcibly stopped. CONSTITUTION:A value slightly greater than the period of time required for cooking the maximum volume of each menu is stored in the control means 9 together with cooking conditions. Simultaneously with the start of cooking, the control means 9 carry out the cooking in accordance with a control program and count the cooking time. When the heating is not stopped after the maximum period of time prescribed for the menu has elapsed, a control signal is generated to output a signal for forcibly stopping the operation of a heating energy generating means 1, thereby stopping the generation of the heating energy. Accordingly, accidents due to overheating or the like are prevented and the safety can be enhanced. |
