The invention relates to a device for adjusting the drive on perfecting machines. The aim of the invention is to reduce the outage time during conversion from face printing to perfecting. The object of the invention is to design the adjustment of the drive in such a way that no machine covering has to be removed. Furthermore, the release and production of the non-positive connection of the two gearwheels are to take place simultaneously at all the connection points provided and with the same torque. According to the invention, this is achieved in that hydraulic actuators are arranged on the ring which transfers the pressing force, which actuators can be actuated from the outside and by means of which the rotationally rigid connection between the first gearwheel and the second gearwheel can be produced or released.
