The stellar radial adjuster in disc units and units of flexible discs represents a new type of design for the adjustment of magnetic heads, the type of organisation of the recording and of the access to the data required also having been altered. By increasing the number of magnetic heads used and a new guidance of them, a significant increase in disc capacity and the response ratio as well as a reduction in the data access time and recording time are achieved. For driving the adjuster, a stepping motor or a moving coil may be used. <IMAGE>
